Given that it's a discontinued item, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by the price. I bought it as a gift for a good friend of mine, so cost was not the primary issue, finding one was. Regardless, it was five times what I originally paid at my local Cat dealer. The product itself is an accurate representation of the actual Acert engine and the packaging was excellent. The bottom line is if you want one you have to pay when you finally find one!
