Before I even start...DON'T PAY $250 for this figure!!!! At the time I'm writing this he can still be found from US dealers for around $150...so don't get sucker in paying higher prices from Toy Scalpers!!!! Okay...on to the review.

I received this just the other day and I was completely blown away. I've seen the Hot Toys version and I almost got it when it came out. When I had the HT version in my hands I just didn't feel it was worth the $200 price tag it had on it when it first came out. Now that piece is worth over $500 like most retired HT pieces but at the time I had concerns. Like with the briefcase which had plastic snaps which I was scared would break when you opened or closed the case over time, but the deal breaker was the head sculpt. Now while it looked like Golgo 13 Duke Togo out of the Anime/Manga smooth hair and smooth skin no texture to it...it had a clearly visible seam that ran from ear to ear over the top of the head. This was Hot Toys mind you and I honestly thought they could do better. So I passed. Years later I could kick myself for not getting it when it was only $200 but good things come to those that wait. It came when 3R Fewture with Art Storm and the people behind DID....and we get this amazing Golgo 13. From the moment I opened him I knew we had something special. The box front can be used as a diorama back drop - the figure is securely in his plastic tomb without any twist tie (thank you) and when you open it you are hit with everything this set includes! A small poster that doubles as directions on the back for removing the hands or the head if you wish. A satin finished METAL display stand and metal name plate...all beautifully done. Three 1/6 scale Seiko watches that are modeled after real world watches that Seiko put out that were limited with Golog 13 logo and likeness, a perfectly tailored trench coat that is cream colored and satin lined with real working buttons and actual pockets, a metal satin finished brief case that has spring load clasps like a real brief case which once you open it holds Golgo's custom built M16 that not only fits in the case it is made to break down like a real sniper rifle to fit in the perfectly cut foam inserts. The M16 which is breath taking and a piece of plastic art, all with clear lenses on the scope, a removable clip, ejector door, and a locking pin connecting the barrel to the custom butt stock. It is amazing. The figure itself has a awesome head sculpt a mix of manga, anime, and real life. There is texture to the hair as well as his skin it it looks like at any second he is going to take a breath! The paint is top notch and perfect. The suit like the trench is beautiful and some of the best 1/6 tailoring I've ever seen and I've been collecting figures for over 35 years and making custom figures for over 20 years. The shirt and tie the same thing...just stunning. The shoes are molded vinyl but have real laces and the detail and paint apps are incredible including the soles of the shoes are done and you can even see the tiniest molded stitches even there. There are extra hands 3 pairs total...open, griping, and bendy hands. So for the price he cannot be beat. Honestly this company has put out one of the finest figures in my collection and that I have ever seen. It is without a doubt something to behold...and if your a Golgo 13 fan...then forget about it...it's a no brainer it's a must buy.
