Doctor Who: Amy Pond 1:6 Scale Collector Figure Review

The outfit for this 1/6 scale Amy Pond is very good(she looks much better when you remove the jacket, which never quite 'fits' right), and the amount of accessories included is pretty impressive(Big Chief even included the apple from her first episode!). The detail on the shirt and the denim skirt is really good, but I wish the tights were not so see through(makes the knee joints stand out a little). I must admit I was impressed in the sculpted boots, the finish on the laces and the boot material is really detailed. The boots plug in directly into the figure's legs, so unfortunately you cannot customize Amy and give her a new pair of footwear.

The rooted hair is nice, but for those fans who want it, Big Chief will also provide an alternate head in the future(one with sculpted hair). The Amy 1/6 figure from Big Chief is very poseable, and can thankfully stand even without the provided stand.

My main criticism is that Big Chief could have picked a better "iconic" costume for Amy, perhaps the red shirt one(or even the fan favorite "policewoman Amy" outfit). That is a minor nitpick really, as I love this figure! Hopefully Big Chief releases other female Doctor Who figures in the future. :)
