1/16 Mini Rockstar SCT RTR Review

The truck is fun and well built but the old NiMH technolgy battery that came with the truck is a joke. The old NiMH battery is frustrating because it doesn't hold a charger and then there is the old memory issue requiring a good discharge every onece and a while. Not with LiPo batteries! A good LiPo is a must.

If you want to truely burn rubber than a LiPo upgrade is the way to go. Not only do LiPo batteries hold a charge but doesn't have the age old memory issue ... *and* ... this will last longer and add more performance. So not only will your truck go 26 MPH with this battery and a stock Losi 1/16 mini SCT truck but with a simple gear modification it will go over 40+ MPH ... insane! Make sure the tires are properly glued on as they will come off if they are not :) Of course the stock NiMH charger will not work with this battery so you must buy a LiPo battery charger if you don't have one.
