I got this kit for my mom to build. She is almost 91 years old and has built quite a few dollhouses in the last few years. This one is by far the best! The materials are so much better than the other kits she has gotten. The house is so sturdy and there is no punching pieces out of large sheets- they are all real wood. The parts don't warp like other kits and everything fits together beautifully.
The directions are done with photos so she can actually see how to put the pieces together. There was one dormer we both struggled with as the pictures for that one piece were not easily read. But she got it! She has not finished it yet but so far everything is going together very well.
She is already planning her next building project and it will be a Melissa and Doug house. As soon as this one is finished and she sells it she will go to the next one.
This house can easily be made for a child or an adult. It is certainly sturdy enough for kids to play with it and nice enough to use as a showpiece.
