Like the reviewer that gave it 5 stars I started with looking at the items in the box to make sure everything was accounted for. And it was all nice and neatly packed to the point that I had extremely high hopes for the actual build.

No unlike the other reviewer I have actually started construction of the house. I say started because it will end up taking a lot more time to complete the build than it should.

You see the major piece go together fairly well, a few warped boards but nothing major enough to really slow down the build.

BUT the devil is in the details and the details are where this kit goes down hill fast. Of the 8 rectangular windows, only 3 were built well enough to simply sand and paint. The other 5 needed major reworking to make them fit flush. It wasn't that they were warped, it was that they were slapped together without any care as to how they went together so that if you put one in the wall it might be flush as the top but then the bottom will be flush on one side and the other will be a full half inch away from the wall... of my favorite that has the crown above the window angled nearly 20 degrees such that it couldn't be fit against the wall if you had to... In short I've been spending alot of time trying to cut each of the windows apart so that I can rebuild them where the will actually fit.

It would have actually been easier to build each window from a kit myself than having to take apart poorly created ones and redo. Terrible terrible quality... If my daughter hadn't already decided it was perfect for her room I would have tossed this piece of garbage soon after trying to install the first window.
