So, Orcus. Been waiting awhile for Wizards to make this bad boy. Their line of "Aspect" figures (i.e. "Aspect of Orcus") doesn't quite cut it. This figurine is the one you want to plop down in front of the party to scare the wits out of them. So what if he is larger than the specs in the Monster Manual. He's a Demon Lord, he can be any size he wants.

Overall, the figure is well made. I was a little disappointed though in the Rod he holds. The diagrams in the old style Monster Manual actually look a little cooler than the one sculpted on the figure, but it is what it is. The only other nit I have is with the price of this figurine. It is a little expensive for what you are buying, and the shipping (though fairly reasonable) just adds to the sticker shock. For some reason they made a bunch of these figures thinking that everyone would go out and buy it. Well maybe they would have if the cost were a more reasonable $19.99 or $29.99, but the sixty to eighty dollar range ? Hmm, you have to REALLY like the Orcus critter to plop down that kind of cash. Still, the shock value of plopping it down in front of players and seeing the look on their faces, may in the end make it all worthwhile.
